The "Amuta" was established to help girlfriends of IDF soldiers who were
killed during their service to cope with the terrible tragedy that has
befallen them and help them rehabilitate themselves.

Help to the girlfriends is given in the framework of Support Groups. The
Support Groups are led by professional group leaders who are trained and
experienced in the treatment of bereavement.

The "Amuta" works in full cooperation with the Bereavement Unit of the IDF
and the Ministry of Defense.

Participation in a Support Group is free.

Participation in a Support Group is open to every girlfriend whose
boyfriend was killed during his military service, regardless of the cause
of his death.

The Support Groups are also open to boyfriends of female soldiers who were
killed during their army service.

A girlfriend or boyfriend of a deceased IDF soldier who is interested in
participating in a Support Group should contact the Bereavement Officer of
the fallen soldier's Corps, or turn directly to the "Amuta".

The work of the
"Non-Profit Organization for Emotional Support of Girlfriends (Fiancées) of
Fallen Soldiers of the IDF" is dedicated to the memory of Lt. Avi Book, who
fell in Lebanon in 1997, at age 22.
