Established in 2025, the Emergency Grants Fund provides critical assistance in exceptional cases where a bereaved partner lacks a stable family support network and/or is facing severe financial hardship. The fund was created in recognition of the fact that, for some partners, an additional layer of support is essential in order to cope with the weight of loss.

Grants are awarded according to criteria defined by GFIDF’s Support Committee. GFIDF actively raises funds to sustain the Emergency Grants Fund, ensuring that those in urgent need receive timely and meaningful help. To donate to the fund, click here.
