Individual Therapy
A Partner Left Behind - GFIDF provides personalized one-on-one therapy for bereaved partners of fallen IDF soldiers and members of the security forces. These sessions offer a space for personal healing, supporting individuals as they process their loss and equipping them with tools to cope with bereavement and the life challenges that often emerge from such profound trauma.
Therapy is provided by clinical psychologists and clinical social workers who specialize in grief and bereavement, drawn from the association’s carefully selected network of professionals. Our therapists are located throughout the country to ensure that every bereaved partner, wherever they live, has access to the best possible care. Each partner is thoughtfully matched with a therapist to ensure the most supportive therapeutic relationship. All therapy is personally supervised by Dr. Ofri Bar-Nadav, GFIDF’s Chief Psychologist.
Bereaved partners are eligible for therapy immediately after their loss, as well as later in life, whenever renewed support is needed. All therapy sessions are fully subsidized by the GFIDF
Through this personal support, we aims to ease, even if only in part, the difficult journey of bereaved partners, and help them rediscover a sense of meaning, resilience, and continuity in life.
